Valentine Party, Chili Cook-off, and a few funny stories

Luc's kindergarten class had a Valentine's Day party which was a lot of fun:

His school also had their annual Chili Cook-off (a fundraiser for the school). Doug took the boys while I toured the hospital where I will deliver soon. The boys had a blast! This is an igloo that that the kindergarten made from milk jugs. It was a competition where each level creates something and the kindergarten won!

There were lots of rides and activities for the kids:

Here is a conversation I had with Sam the other day:
Me: Sam, what is Bubba's other name?
Sam: Lucas.
Me: What is Mommy's other name?
Sam: Matenzie.
Me: What is Daddy's other name?
Sam: (long pause) Jesus?
Me: No, it's Doug.
Sam: Oh yeah, Uncle Doug.

Luc's kindergarten teacher told me something hilarious. For the past month or so, I've let Lucas bring a friend home from school once a week for a play date. One day, when picking up Lucas and a friend, his teacher walked him to the car. She told me that she heard Lucas inviting more kids on the play date by telling a group of them, "When my mom pulls up, just jump into the van!"
