Lucas asked Santa if he got his letter with his request change from a toilet plunger bow and arrow to a Pogo stick. Santa didn't make any absolute promises, but Lucas felt like it was a "yes."
Sam told Santa about his loose tooth (he doesn't really have one, but Lucas does, so therefore Sam does too). Sam was shy and he frowned with his eyes closed a lot:
Santa and Mrs. Clause brought a present for each child - new pajamas. The boys were thrilled and Lucas went straight to the bathroom and changed into his new pjs:
We also got to see a great presentation of the nativity with a real baby (and tonight before bed we read Luke 2 and watched a video about the birth of Jesus):
Santa and Mrs. Clause sent us all on our way and reminded us to get to bed on time. We came home and the boys each opened a present. They chose one from Grandpa Burton and Grandma Jo (I hope that's ok!):
Then we made a plate of cookies for Santa and each had a cookie ourselves:
Our bedtime story was 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, which Doug and I asked Grandpa Burton and Grandma Jo to record for the boys (it's a recordable book so they can listen to it anytime). The boys loved it and now they are drifting off to sleep. We are all excited for tomorrow.

I love watching your family grow.. all the joy, the occasional pain and the happiness that seems to exist inside your home.
I can't believe you were able to blog about Christmas Eve already. We are just going to bed! I am not surprised. Sometimes reading this blog makes me sad because we miss you guys. Merry Christmas!
