We were sad for our Denver trip to come to a close, but we had a wonderful time and made memories that will last forever. And I have to say that my little New Yorkers were very good car travelers. Round trip, we drove about 26 hours and they were great in the car. We are home now and I was so excited to look back at all of our pictures. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I love this time of year that is so full of gratitude and reflection. Here are two of the things I am most grateful for in my life (and of course, I am grateful for Doug AND the third little boy on the way):
In addition to playing with their ninjas, watching videos, and singing along to our Taxi, Taxi CD...Lucas probably spent 10 hours doing dot-to-dot puzzles and coloring them. Doug picked up the 1-50 dot-to-dot book in Denver. We knew he would like it, but we were both shocked by how much time he spent working on them.
I had to laugh as the kids looked out the hotel window for tumbleweeds:
And we saw a beautiful rainbow on our drive home as well - this trip was full of rainbows, from beginning to end. We took it as a sign of more good things to come:

You are the BEST BLOGGER ever! Love all the pictures. What a great way to keep the memories alive! I love that you saw a rainbow after the rainbow party theme!
Hi Mackenzie and Doug! I am Amy Mitchell's cousin and discovered your blog through hers recently. I hope you don't mind me reading your blog. I lived in NJ and PA for several years and really miss the East coast. Stephanie told me you lived in NY. I was plannning on introducing myself, but just hadn't gotten around to it. When I saw that you stopped in Wichita on your way to CO I decided I had to finally do it! We live in Wichita and love Exploration Place! I was excited to see you stopped there! They recently spruced up a lot of the exhibits, so you went at a good time. It sounds like you had a wonderful trip!
